ABOUT / MIGAL — GALILEE RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Connecting farmer knowledge
with data-driven research.
Dr. Adam Abramson’s research at MIGAL explores digital agriculture, farmer decision-making and the relationship between farming and the environment.

Our research focus
The lab studies how digital platforms and crowdsourcing can turn farmers’ experience into useful, reliable agricultural data. Its work asks what encourages farmers to share information, and how practical data-driven tools can create value that supports participation. FarmHive DSS develops this direction through reusable crop protocols and structured records of farm-season decisions.
Combining agricultural, environmental and development economics, the research also examines technology adoption, environmental impacts and incentives that shape farmer behavior. The aim is to connect decision-support tools with the economic and environmental context in which farms operate.
